DGS Advances to U15 Boys’ Basketball Final, Sets Up Clash with SMA

The Dominica Grammar School (DGS) has secured its place in the final of the 2026 Sports Division Secondary Schools Under-15 Boys’ Basketball Championship after defeating the North East Comprehensive School (NECS) 56-51 in a thrilling playoff encounter at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium Forecourt.

DGS appeared to be cruising to victory after dominating the first three quarters and building a commanding 50-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter. However, NECS mounted a remarkable comeback, outscoring DGS 28-6 in the final period and threatening to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Despite the late surge, DGS held on to secure the five-point win and advance to the championship game. At the final whistle, the celebrations from the DGS camp were as much a sign of relief as they were of triumph after surviving the spirited NECS fightback.

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
