It is with profound sadness we announce the death of Morris Smith, better known as Rudy, the owner of Islet View Restaurant of Castle Bruce.

He will be remembered by his mother, Cornelia Smith, and father, Wayne Smith.
Uncles: Tyson, Francis, Garnet, Nazette, preceded in death Richard and Bounty Challenger.
Aunties: Myrle and Dorothy Challenger.
Cousins: Clem, Tony, Amarie, Tina, Carmen, Keimalyn, Zander Mitch, Jennifer, Simon, Christpher, Martina, Agnella, Steven, Lee, Sheridiamond, Cecil, Annette, Courtney, Jennifer, Effie, Jonathan, Jawisharm, Aldon and Ardi.
Close friends and relatives: the Bannis, Prevost, and Challenger families in Dominica and abroad, Mildred, Malcolm, Eddy, members of the United Workers Party, Senator Austelle Lockhart, Joanne, the Health and the Police Department, and the community of Castle Bruce, others too numerous to mention.
The funeral service of the late Morris Smith will take place on May 30, 2026, at the Castle Bruce Roman Catholic Church.
Viewing is at 2:30 p.m. followed by the service at 3:00 p.m.
Per family request, there won’t be a burial.
