At just 29 years old, Dominican-Anguillian marketing professional and event organizer Sari-Lee Benjamin is steadily building a name for herself across the Caribbean through marketing, youth empowerment, tourism and event development.
Benjamin is the founder of WASTED Cooler Festival, a new event under the Anguilla Summer Festival season set for July 18, 2026 at the Sandy Ground Ball Field. The event combines music, entertainment, influencer culture, and Caribbean lifestyle into a modern cooler fete experience designed to bring people together while contributing to Anguilla’s carnival product and creative economy.
What makes Benjamin’s journey stand out is her commitment to building platforms with purpose. Beyond entertainment, she has focused much of her work on creating opportunities for women and young creatives across the region.
She is the founder of Her Marketing, an initiative created to empower women in marketing, communications, entrepreneurship, content creation, and the creative industries. What started as a small idea has grown into a successful skills-driven experience featuring workshops, networking opportunities, and conversations centered around helping women develop professionally and creatively.
The platform now also includes the Her Marketing Scholarship, which provides support for young women pursuing studies in marketing, business, and creative fields, something Benjamin hopes will continue growing in the years ahead.
One of her long-term goals is to expand the initiative regionally by hosting a future HerMarketing Conference in Dominica and other Caribbean countries, creating a Caribbean-wide space where women can connect, learn, collaborate, and be inspired by industry professionals and entrepreneurs from across the region.
Benjamin also has strong ties to Dominica professionally. In 2023, she returned to the island to lecture at Dominica State College, where she taught business-related courses while also serving as a Social Media Manager for the institution. During her time there, she created the DSC Marketing Association to provide students interested in marketing and business with opportunities for networking, collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences.
She is also the founder of SAME Marketing Agency, a digital marketing and branding company launched in 2022, and has spent years working on campaigns, community initiatives, and events aimed at uplifting people and promoting Caribbean creativity.
Through initiatives like WASTED Cooler Festival and HerMarketing, Benjamin continues to show what is possible when young Caribbean professionals invest in their ideas and create opportunities not only for themselves, but for others around them.
Her journey reflects a growing movement of young Caribbean creatives and entrepreneurs who are proving that impactful brands, events, and platforms can be built from small islands with big vision.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
