The National Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU) has partnered with the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) to celebrate Afro Elegance at the 15th edition of Jazz N’ Creole 2026.
At a DDA press conference held on Thursday, April 23, NCCU was officially presented as a sponsor of the highly anticipated cultural event.
Public Relations and Communications Specialist at NCCU, Edona Jno Baptiste, emphasized the institution’s broader commitment to advancing people and communities.
“For NCCU, we understand the important role that festivals and cultural events play in cultural preservation and economic activity. Through NCCU’s sponsorship, Jazz and Creole will have a greater local impact, generating economic spinoffs for Portsmouth, neighbouring communities, and Dominica,” she stated.
NCCU’s support for this milestone 15th staging is especially meaningful, as it coincides with the Credit Union’s just-concluded 15th anniversary since amalgamation – marking a shared celebration of growth, resilience, and community impact.
On Sunday, May 3, patrons attending the event at Fort Shirley can look forward to the NCCU experience—Speak, Sip, and Spin.
“Patrons can engage with our stylish ambassadors, enjoy a curated cocktail, and take a chance at spinning the wheel for exciting prizes. If you are joining us at Jazz and Creole, be sure to stop by and discover it for yourself,” Jno Baptiste added.
As anticipation builds for the fringe activities and main stage event, NCCU continues its Get It Now Easter Loan promotion until April 30, offering affordable interest rates with no security required.
This year’s sponsorship is powered by NCCU’s Alternative Energy Loan and Beyond The Mortgage. Learn more: https://nccudominica.com/beyond-the-mortgage/

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
