The National Bank of Dominica Ltd. (NBD) celebrated its 48th Anniversary on March 15, 2026, observing the occasion through a month of impactful activities that underscored the Bank’s dedication to community engagement, financial education, and valuing its customers.
As part of its anniversary observance, NBD placed strong emphasis on giving back, reinforcing its role not only as a financial institution, but as a trusted partner in national growth.
Community Outreach and Financial Awareness
Throughout the month, NBD undertook several community outreach initiatives focused on education and social support. Financial awareness sessions were conducted with students at Isaiah Secondary School and Oasis Preschool, helping to introduce young minds to the principles of saving, budgeting, and financial responsibility.
In addition to education, tangible support was provided to schools in need. Oasis Preschool received a cash donation, while Isaiah Thomas Secondary School benefited from the donation of a microwave and projector to support its learning environment. The schools expressed sincere appreciation for the Bank’s support and commitment to education.
NBD also extended care to the elderly through a visit to the Mahaut Senior Citizens Home, where grocery items and a cash donation were presented to assist with the home’s daily needs. NBD staff spent time interacting with residents, sharing conversations, and creating moments of joy. Seeing smiles on the faces of both residents and staff was a highlight of the initiative.
Beyond Banking: Employees Leading Community Change
Demonstrating that its impact goes beyond traditional banking services, NBD employees successfully executed three Beyond Banking projects during the anniversary period:
These initiatives were made possible through the collaboration and dedication of NBD employees, alongside teachers, parents, guardians, students, and community members. Each project aimed at improving educational spaces, enhancing learning environments, and fostering community pride.
Celebrating Customers: Customer Appreciation Week
The anniversary celebrations also included Customer Appreciation Week, during which customers were engaged through branch-level activities and interactive social media challenges. These initiatives were designed to thank clients for their loyalty and trust, which have been instrumental in sustaining the Bank over the past 48 years.
A Legacy of Trust, A Future of Purpose
Reflecting on the milestone, NBD reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening communities, empowering customers, and supporting Dominica’s development through responsible and inclusive banking.
As the NBD looks ahead, it remains focused on innovation, service excellence, and meaningful community investment, continuing a proud legacy built over 48 years.
NBD extends heartfelt thanks to its customers, employees, partners, and the wider Dominican public for their continued confidence and support.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
