It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of 88 year old Hamilton Paris better known as “Hummy”,or “Ton” of Bataca in the Kalinago Territory.
He passed away on March 16th 2026 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He will be remembered by :
His wife : Margaret Blossie Paris
Step children : Jean Phillip, Julien, Wadel and Jacob Seraphin and Linda Auguiste.
Step grand children : Damien, Kylie, Julianne and Jeanae Seraphin
Step son-in-law : Francis Auguiste
Step daughters in law : Shana and Decima Seraphin
Nephews : Harry Yves Paris, Andrew Lucien, Matthew Lucien and Jervier Lucien.
Step siblings : Steward, Lyn and Kerin Le blanc in Vielle Case
Close Friends : Prime Minister Hon Roosevelt Skerrit, Valance Tack Durand, Linda Durand, Mayor James, Ideline Burton, Britney Frederick, Casius Darroux, Pastor Johnny and wife, Matthew Burton, Pastor Joseph, Brother Honore, Wasamer Paris and Patrice in Tarish Pit.
Many relatives and friends both here and abroad including the Paris, Dupigny and Auguiste families in Bataca and Kalinago Territory by extension.
The funeral of the late Hamilton Paris better known as Hummy or Ton of Bataca will be held on Tuesday March 31st 2026 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mahaut River.
Viewing commences at 1pm , Service 2pm followed by Interment at the Salybia Public Cemetery.
