It is with profound sadness we announce the death of Lister Gertrude Gilbert better known as “Ma Nowills” from Penville who resided in Portsmouth. She died on the 3rd of March 2026 at the Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital at the age of 101.
Lister is survived by her:
7 Children – Geraldine, Decima, Martha, Junie, Vincent, Andrew and Jennifer
4 Sisters – Claron, Marian, Rosa and Molly Joseph
Son in Law – Claude Gorizia
37 Grande Children – Theodora, Sedrick, Nicole, Cowin, Daniel, David, Cuthbert, Augustus,Robert, Hubert, Albert, Egbert, Robertine, Andy, Andrina, Andrea, Wendy, Megguy, Eugenia, Earlson, John, Michael, Peter, Julie, Jullian, Jéan, Michiel, José, Oliver, Jefferson,
Jeffrey, Joan, Randy, Zillah, Matthew, Richardson, and Monna

The family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of the RFA Hospital, Dominica Council on aging, the Belle Family in Cottage. Thanks to all who called, visited and express tremendous support during this time of grief.
