he Caribbean American Poetry Association (CAPA) cordially invites you to a Virtual Poetry Reading & Open Mic on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 7 PM to celebrate World Poetry Day.
UNESCO designated March 21 as World Poetry Day to support linguistic diversity and provide a platform for various poetic expressions. In honor of this mission, CAPA invites poets and guests to share poems in any of the languages or dialects spoken across the Caribbean—including English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Patois, Creole, Papiamento, and others.
The inspirational theme for this event is: “Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean.”
“We look forward to coming together to celebrate our unique differences and collective heritage through poetry,” said Dr. Beryl R. Williams, CAPA’s President & Founder. “This is a great time to express that solidarity in a joyful, meaningful way.”
Free registration is available on Eventbrite. For more details regarding the World Poetry Day Poetry Reading, please contact us at caribbeanamericanpoetry@gmail.com.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
