The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) Dominica, in partnership with the Ocean Conservancy and the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation (DSWMC), will host activities to mark International Coastal Cleanup Day 2025 on Saturday, September 20th at Anse De Mai Beach.
Buses will depart Roseau at 6:45 a.m. to transport volunteers to the site. Participants will join a global movement to tackle marine litter, removing debris and sargassum from the beach to help protect marine life and preserve Dominica’s natural environment.
Ahead of the cleanup, a Pre-Cleanup Webinar will take place on Thursday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m., providing an overview of the significance of Coastal Cleanup Day, waste management practices, and event logistics.
CYEN Dominica invites individuals, families, schools, and community organizations to take part. Children are welcome but must be properly supervised.
