It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of 94 years old Rupert Ferdinand Nelson, better known as Taboo and Puel, of St. Joseph. He died on 1st September 2025 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He is survived by:
Children: Yonica, Glensworth, Monica, Pamie and Petra
Grandchildren: Lisa, Nenian, Donette, Donis, Ricky, Sharyl, Kera, Kwan, Giftus and Charlotte
Great grandchildren, including Faith, Amiyah, Leilani, Nasir, Ameerah, Kelisha and Levi Brother: Elisha in Canada
Nieces & Nephews including: Nelford, Debbie, Eric and Allan and the children of his siblings – Caiphus, Hayden, Cockrow, Sheridan, Knowlthanise and Elisha
Special Grand niece and nephews: Alliema, Randy & family and Soda
Sons in law: Thomason and Anthony
Godchildren: Alexford, Althia, Rosmond, Catherine, John and Steve
Cousins including: Ambrose Sylvester & family; the Serrant, Xavier and Charles families
Close friends: Olivette Jno. Charles, Kendra, Terrel, Erwin, Julien and Barry
Neighbours including: Teacher Cinda & family, Jasmine & family, Edward, Moozi, Avril, Symes, Clarine, Marcelle, Sky & Vignette
Dr. King, doctors and nurses at the St. Joseph Health Centre
Parish Priest – Fr. Joseph and members of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.

The funeral of the late Rupert Ferdinand Nelson will be held on Thursday 25th September, 2025 at Mathew’s Hall in St. Joseph. Viewing at 2.30p.m and Funeral Mass at 3.00p.m, followed by interment at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic cemetery.
