Death Announcement of 73 year old Emelda Serrant, affectionately known as โ€˜Evadney, Vadney or Vadoโ€™ of Mahaut

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, 73 year old Emelda Serrant, affectionately known as โ€˜Evadney, Vadney or Vadoโ€™ of Mahaut. She departed this life on Saturday the 16th of August 2025 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.

She was preceded in death by:

1 Son: David Anselm

Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories are:

2 Sons: Earl George and Enson Willams

1 Daughter: Martina Matinez

2 Grandsons: Kyson Martinez and Kylon Williams

5 Sisters: Ophelia Baltazar, Anora Maxwell, Claribel Wallace, Rosemarie Joseph and Valda Lovelock

4 Brothers: Symbert, Matthewโ€˜Ambraโ€™, George and Emile โ€˜Pabenโ€™ Serrant

17 Nieces: Dannette and Ann Anthony in Antigua, Marcel Charles in Guadeloupe, Elucia Parillon and Susan Serrant in the USA, Miranda and Pearly Baltazar, Ellery Howe, Jane-Ann Joseph, Malison McCurdy, Maxime Maxwell, Marcella Richards, Tanisha, Tiara and Pinky Serrant.

18 Nephews: Regel John, Jenson Joseph, Daryle, Darius, Jaden, and Aiden Serrant in the USA.  Ross Serrant in Guadeloupe, Albert Baltazar and Gilbert Serrant in Antigua, Roger Francis in St. Thomas, Delroy Bardouille, Roger Francis, Angus Ishmael, Freddie Boy Anthony, Peter Boy, Marlon McCurdy Nickroy and Ken Serrant.

The funeral service of the late Emelda Serrant better known as Vadney will be held at the St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church in Canefield, on Friday 5th of September. The viewing of the body is from 1:30pm followed by mass at 2:00pm. Interment of the Body will follow at the Mahaut Cemetery.
