The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), Executive Producers of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, announces its participation in the upcoming Caribbean Music Awards on August 28 in New York, where the festival has been nominated for the prestigious Music Event of the Year category.
CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Louis Lewis, expressed enthusiasm about the nomination, emphasizing the wider impact of the creative sector: “This nomination is a proud moment for Saint Lucia and affirms the global recognition of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival. We are optimistic about the festival’s continued growth, but more importantly, we remain deeply committed to supporting the Orange Economy, music, arts, and culture as pillars that fuel innovation, inspire communities, and create opportunities across the region.”
The SLTA congratulates Shirleyann Cyril-Mayers, who will be honoured as a 2025 Gospel Honouree in recognition of her outstanding contributions to music, youth development, and ministry. The Authority also congratulates the Saint Lucian creatives who have been nominated, underscoring the island’s immense talent and influence within the Caribbean’s cultural landscape.
Michael Robinson – French Caribbean Artiste of the Year
Shemmy J – Soca Impact Award
Dale Elliott – Entertainer of the Year (Comedian, DJ, Actor, Host)
Emrand Henry – Gospel Honour
Daan Chorus – Dancehall Impact Award.
Acknowledging the transformative value of music, art, and culture, the SLTA is proud to support the Caribbean Music Awards as a Bronze Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to platforms that empower Caribbean artists and celebrate excellence in the creative industries.
Now in its third year, the Caribbean Music Awards stands as a premier platform for recognizing and celebrating the creativity, talent, and cultural influence of artists across the region, much like the Grammy Awards but uniquely dedicated to honoring Caribbean artists, whose work is increasingly gaining recognition on global stages.
Adding to the excitement, two lucky individuals will have the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival 2026 through a special Instagram contest, launched in collaboration with the Caribbean Music Awards and Secrets St. Lucia. The contest is now open and will run until August 30, 2025, with winners announced on September 4, 2025.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
