The Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) is proud to announce its participation in the 2025 Pan American Youth Games in Asuncion, Paraguay, from August 9 to 23. The seven-member delegation includes three athletes and four officials, competing in Athletics and Swimming.
Leading the team is Chef de Mission Mr. Albert Loblack, a seasoned sports administrator and President of the Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association. He is joined by Mrs. Shaminey Walsh-Dupuis (Swimming Coach), Mr. Joel Hamilton (Athletics Coach), and Ms. Jermasha Mellow (Welfare Officer/Press Attaché).
Olympian Jasmine Schofield, fresh from the 2025 Aquatics World Championships, will carry the Dominican flag at the Opening Ceremony. She will later be joined by javelin thrower Addison James (CARIFTA Gold & ALBA Games Bronze medalist) and shot put record-holder Treneese Hamilton.
DOC President Mr. Billy Doctrove expressed confidence in the team, noting the focus on quality over quantity and the strong preparation the athletes have received. He believes Dominica has a strong chance for podium finishes.
Dominica previously competed in the inaugural Junior Pan Am Games in 2021. The 2025 edition will feature over 4,000 athletes across 42 sports and serve as a qualifier for the 2027 Pan Am Games.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
