SUNRISE AIRWAYS UPGRADES SERVICE TO/FROM SAINT LUCIA

Flight operations moved to UVF Airport, creating enhanced regional and international connectivity

Sunrise Airways announced today that it has upgraded its service to/from Saint Lucia with the relocation of its flight operations from George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU) in Castries to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in Vieux Fort. The move, effective as of June 29, 2025, creates enhanced connectivity options throughout the Caribbean, as well as to international gateways in North America and Europe.

“The facilities and connectivity options at UVF present synergies uniquely in line with our plans for future growth,” noted Colin Piper, Eastern Caribbean Representative for Sunrise Airways. “We’re excited to start this new phase in providing Saint Lucia with the utmost service, reliability, and connectivity.”

In concert with the shift to Hewanorra International Airport, Sunrise Airways also adjusted its Saint Lucia–Grenada flight schedule.

“Our flights from Saint Lucia to Grenada now depart in the evening, with the aircraft remaining in Grenada overnight and return flights operating early the next day,” noted Piper. “This creates added convenience and more connectivity options for passengers traveling from the southern Caribbean to points further north in the region.”

As of July 27, 2025, Sunrise Airways will also launch new scheduled service to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten, offering passengers from Saint Lucia and the broader southern Caribbean an important new regional destination option.

“New destination options, plus more convienent flight schedules and improved reliability are all part in parcel to our unwavering commitment to elevate the aviation sector in Saint Lucia and the broader Caribbean to new heights,” said Piper.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
