Dominica to Host 38th Association of Caribbean Commandants’ Conference and Caribbean Cadet Camp.

Some 300 Cadets and Officers and over 30 Commandants and adjutants   expected  from across The Region  July 19 – August 2, 2025

Roseau, Dominica — The Dominica Cadet Corps – DCC is proud to announce that Dominica will host the 38th Association of Caribbean Commandants’ Conference, welcoming some 32 Commandants and Staff Officers from 15 Caribbean nations from July 28th to the 31st.

The   DCC will also host approximately 300 cadets and officers   from 15 Caribbean countries for the Caribbean Cadet Camp from July 19th to August 2nd 2025

These two landmark events are meant to promote regional integration, cross-cultural exchange, dialogue, and collaboration among the Caribbean’s cadet Corps.

The 2025   Cadet Camp Activities to be held at the Pierre Charles Secondary School in Grand Bay will run under the theme – Cadetting – Impacting Lives, Soaring to a Better Future

Activities will include:

  • Official Opening Ceremony
  • Cultural Night
  • Self-Defense training
  • Water Sports
  • Rifle and Sword Drills
  • Map Reading
  • Field Craft
  • Hiking
  • Shooting and Rappelling
  • Movie Nights and more

Association of Caribbean Commandants’ Conference

The official meetings will be held at the Fort Young Hotel in Roseau from July 28 to July 31, under the theme “Empowering Our Youths”

A total of 32 Commandants and Adjutants are expected to attend, engaging in strategic discussions to review the past year’s activities and plan for the future. One of the key objectives will be the standardization of training across regional cadet units.

“The camp will see over 300 cadets and officers in attendance,” said Deputy Commandant/Adjutant Lt. Colonel Fitzroy Leon. “It’s an exciting opportunity to celebrate Caribbean culture and foster greater unity among our youth.”

The Dominica Cadet Corps looks forward to welcoming its regional counterparts for what promises to be two inspiring and impactful events for the future leaders of the Caribbean.
