Dominica’s First Circus Festival is SATURDAY, May 31: “Nou Sé Histoire” by WaituCirque
 A Groundbreaking Celebration of Culture, Creativity, and Community!

Cochrane, Dominica: May 31st, 2025 – Prepare for an extraordinary day of wonder and artistry as WaituCirque, Dominica’s pioneering circus arts organization, presents its first-ever Circus Festival, themed “Nou sé Histoire” — Creole for “We Are History”. This landmark event takes place Saturday, May 31st, at Caapi Cottage Retreats in Cochrane, who proudly sponsor and host the festival.

Blending Dominican storytelling with the dynamic world of circus performance, “Nou sé Histoire” promises a high-energy celebration of local talent, community, and artistic innovation. From aerial arts and acrobatics to juggling, illusions, and improvisation, the festival features breathtaking shows, hands-on workshops, and family-friendly activities from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM!

CIRUCS SHOW starts at 5:00 PM.

Come Enjoy:

  • Interactive Workshops: Learn to juggle, fly through the air in aerial arts, or explore spontaneous creativity with the “Mission Improbable” improv troupe.

  • Live Performances: Be amazed by gravity-defying feats and illusions from some of Dominica’s most daring performers.

  • Creative Activities: Live painting with the Waitukubuli Artist Association or adorn yourself with natural henna tattoos or face painting

  • Artist Q&A Sessions and local Food Vendors complete the experience.


Important Info:

  • No parking at the venue – visitors are encouraged to park in Cochrane Village and enjoy a short, scenic walk to the festival grounds. Please follow the signs.

  • Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

  • Festival shuttle buses run regularly from the Old Mill Cultural Centre beginning at 9:30 AM, included with all tickets. (Shuttle departure times: 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 3:30 PM)


       Full Day Tickets – Entry from 10:00 AM  /   Half Day Tickets – Entry from 1:00 PM


  • Festival Closes at 7:00 PM – Shuttle Bus departures at 7:00 PM from Cochrane to Old Mill

Ticket Packages: (All tickets include the Shuttle Bus from Old Mill to Cochrane)

  • Child (6–12): EC$35 (Full Day, with guardian)

  • Adult: EC$35 (Half Day + Show) | EC$50 (Full Day)

  • Family Pass: EC$100 (Full Day) 2 Adults, 1 child or 1 Adult, 2 children

  • Children 5 and under are Free
